I understand that the 720 comes with a spare. Can anyone confirm if this spare is also plexiglass? And is it possible to have a sapphire crystal fitted later? The only downside to the 372 is it's price and the fact it comes with plexiglass. It won't shatter or break but scratches easily. Luckily the 372 comes with a 2nd replacement plexiglass. The old crystal suddenly developed a "cloudy" ring around the edge of the crystal (looked more like super glue than moisture). I recently read that there is a version of the 372 that was released about last August with a sapphire crystal but then read that the Panerai catalog still says plexiglass. Does anyone know for sure if there is a 372-S Panerai? I love the big (47+) Panerais, especially the Radiomirs, but don't love the plexiglass crystals. I've tried to find a list of which are plexi but so f
They do give you a replacement crystal if the original is scratched beyond repair. I have knicked mine and easily buffed out the scuff with toothpaste.
